How parents can get involved Can parents get involved in Rainbow Rainbow relies heavily on the support, help, encouragement and dedication of all its parents. There are a number of ways in which parents get involved, these include:- Joining the committee The committee is made up entirely of the Pre-School parents. The main aim of the committee is to ensure the Pre-School runs smoothly and efficiently. They are responsible for seeing the Pre-School is properly insured and staffed and there are sufficient funds to meet the bills. It is responsible for the safety of all children and adults on the premises during the session, and must also ensure compliance with OFSTED standards for the running of the Pre-School. Once a year at the A.G.M. the committee accounts to the parents for the past year's events and a new committee is elected. Any parents can join or nominate someone else to join the committee.
Fundraising The committee is also responsible for arranging the many varied fundraising events, e.g. fun days, Easter Egg Hunt, bazaars, BBQs, and even grown up social events, to ensure that money is available for keeping the Pre-School's equipment to a high standard. Parents Rotas We do ask that each child's parent/carer (Dads, mums, Grans, Grandads, nannies, Friends) come and join us for one morning of fun each half term - to see what the children (and the Playleaders) get up to, see who their friends are, get to know the Playleaders and the other people with small children. To conform with our insurance, we cannot accommodate children who are not on our register.
Newsletter to Parents A newsletter is sent out to all parents at the start of each term giving details of all themes for the term, and useful information about the Committee and the Pre-School. If you like to request another copy of the newsletter, please click here |
