How does
Rainbow
operate Rainbow Pre-School is a registered charity, which receives Government funding for 3 and 4 year olds. It is a completely independent organisation, run by an annually elected Committee of parents. The Committee endeavours to keep fees to a minimum and balance the costs by fundraising. As with most Pre-Schools, Rainbow has adopted the constitution of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, which is the national movement formed by parents working together. Each area of the country has a local branch which can help groups by providing services such as bulk buying of equipment and toys, support for groups, courses and talks for parents, helpers and committee members. Rainbow is inspected by OFSTED and acts on, and implements, their recommendations. Keyworker System Our Keyworker system gives each member of staff particular responsibilities for just a few children. We operate a record keeping system to track the development of the children. For funded children, parent consultations are held during the term they will be leaving. The Keyworker works with the parents to ensure that all children are supported in reaching their full potential.
